The Scarsdale Business Alliance (SBA) is thrilled to announce the continuation and expansion of Destination Scarsdale, our flagship campaign celebrating everything our community has to offer.

What is Destination Scarsdale?

Destination Scarsdale is a collaborative effort between the SBA & the Village of Scarsdale, endorsed by Westchester County, designed to:

  • Showcase Scarsdale’s diverse amenities, from retail and dining to cultural and recreational experiences.
  • Increase foot traffic and vibrancy in Scarsdale’sVillage center and other retail hubs.
  • Stimulate local economic growth by encouraging residents and visitors to shop, dine, and engage locally.
  • Highlight to residents and visitors that Scarsdale is a go-to destination for shopping, dining, and cultural experiences.

Beyond Sundays: A Community-Wide Campaign

Launched last spring, Destination Scarsdale piloted Sunday activations in the downtown center, successfully bringing more foot traffic, vibrancy, and energy to the Village center, with the Farmers Market, live music, family activities, and special events.

The 2025 campaign expands on this foundation, with enhanced Sunday activations and exciting new additions:

  • A more robust Farmers Market, with more live performances, more family fun activities, and an expanded Community Table Program, offering space for local non-profit organizations and professional services businesses to engage with residents and visitors.
  • NEW! Rock the ‘Dale Day: A celebration of local bands with food and family-friendly activities.
  • Enhanced, beloved signature events, including Public Safety Day, Take Charge of Your Health Day, Pet Adoption Day, the Halloween Dog Costume Parade, Fitness Days in the Park, and more.

But Destination Scarsdale is more than just Sundays. It’s a comprehensive effort to position Scarsdale as a premier destination for shopping, dining, and cultural experiences every day. This initiative is at the heart of the SBA’s mission to foster a thriving local economy, strengthen the business community, and encourage residents and visitors alike to explore and support Scarsdale.

Why Shopping Local Matters

When you shop locally, you’re doing more than purchasing goods—you’re investing in your community. For every $100 spent at a local business, approximately $68 stays in the community, supporting jobs, local services, and economic growth. By choosing to shop, dine, and engage locally, you’re helping Scarsdale thrive.

With small businesses nationwide contributing 55 percent of net job creation from 2013 to 2023, as detailed in the Treasury Department’s report, every dollar spent locally is a direct investment in our community’s economic resilience and future.”
